Medi-Cal and Covered California offer free or low-income assistance health insurance packages for those who are interested. To find out if you qualify find more information below. Applications can take a few months to turn around, however, do not be discouraged! Medi-Cal and Covered California accept new policy holders quarterly, so, if you don't get a response, try again towards the end of the quarter.

~Medi-Cal, Covered California offer low-income, free or, assistance paid plans depending on your income. If you have a $0 income put $1. When I was unemployed and I called Covered California and Covered California told me that's what you're supposed to do. If anything changes I will try to update the website!
Therapy Newbies:
~Finding a therapist the best suits your needs. Different therapists have different licenses. Overall, I've found LMFT therapists the most helpful when discussing general topics like relationships. LMFT stands for lincensed marriage family therapist so be sure to look out for the title and make sure who you're choosing is the right match for you. Covered California offers free therapy services on their platform, LiveHealth.

~All togeher I've been in psychology for 26 years. My goal is to normalize talking about mental health, and make it a priority for everybody to not be ashamed of taking care of themselves or their mental health.
